From
the late 1800's through the 1960's, paper labels
were used to identify the contents of wooden boxes
and cans. The more colorful and eye-catching the
label, the more likely it was the customer would
buy the product and remember the name. Over recent
years these beautiful works of art are being collected
by people all over the world.
Framed
fruit & vegetable crate labels look outstanding
in a kitchen. Because the details on labels go to
the edge, I recommend 'floating' them rather than
matting them for framing. Advertising has changed
over the years and photographs have replaced art.
But during the first half of the 20th century,
advertising art was outstanding. All of my labels
and advertising are original - no recent reproductions
here!

matted, however for those that are, you will
see an image with the mat.
